The Vision.
TrackMySpend is a collection of simple, helpful tools built to make managing your money a bit easier.
The goal here is to trade "passive tracking" for being intentional. Most banking apps just show you what you've already spent; I wanted to build something that helps you plan where your money goes next. Whether you're checking your daily budget or figuring out how to pay off debt faster, these tools are here to help you stay in the driver's seat.
"I build for people who want to be more mindful—those who know that financial freedom starts with understanding the gap between what you earn and what you spend."
The Philosophy
Automation makes spending feel invisible. Taking a moment to log things manually helps you actually own your financial choices.
The Logic
Everything is updated for the 2025/26 UK financial year, so your calculations for tax and interest stay relevant and accurate.
The Toolkit.
Income & Tax
Know exactly what you're working with. The Take Home Pay Calculator handles 2025/26 tax bands and NI to show what actually lands in your bank.
Daily Budgeting
The Daily Pacing Dashboard is your home base. By logging spend as it happens, you get a "North Star" target that stays updated throughout the month.
Mortgage & Debt
Tools like the Mortgage Overpayment Tool help you see how even small extra payments can make a huge difference over time.

How it's built
This project is built using a mix of human intuition and AI assistance—keeping the code clean and the logic sharp.
By using Gemini as a coding partner, I can keep the site entirely browser-based. I use basic analytics to see how many people visit, but I have no access to what you type into the tools. Your numbers stay on your own device, exactly where they belong.
To keep this site free to use, I host small advertisements via Google AdSense. These ads help cover domain and maintenance costs without requiring user subscriptions.
