TrackMySpend.org does not use a central database. I do not store your expenses, targets, or logs on my server.
Technically, your data is stored using Window.localStorage. This is a secure area within your own browser that only this domain can access. Because there is no central database, we cannot see, sell, or lose your data in a server breach.
Anonymized Analytics
I use Google Analytics and Google AdSense to keep this tool free. These services use cookies to understand site traffic (e.g., which calculators are popular). Crucially, these services have zero access to the data inside your calculators. They see that a page was visited, but they cannot see your salary, debt, or spending entries.
Data Protection (UK GDPR)
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data (such as an email sent via contact forms). Since your financial data is 100% local, you can exercise your "Right to Erasure" instantly by using the "Wipe All Local Data" button below.
